

One of the historical buildings on Župne square is the building of the Slovak National Council. Seat of the Chairman of National Council, National Council Comitee and National Council Offices are situated there. One part of this building is used for congresses . The building stands right in the centre of Bratislava on pedestian zone. This building served as a cloister and a district house. After the independent Slovak Republic was formed, it represents the seat of the Slovak National Council. It is a protected architectonical and historical building registered in the Central List of Cultural Sights. The last stage of its reconstruction was finished in 2006.
